Winter Wednesday - SKIPJACK TALK  Wednesday, Feb. 8: The Chesapeake Bay's iconic skipjacks and the history of oyster dredging under sail. 6:30 p.m. in the Pub Room at Harrison's Chesapeake House

Winter Wednesday - SUSTAINABLE SEAFOOD TALK  Wednesday, Feb. 28: Discussion on sustainable seafood, including best fishing practices as well as consumer choices. 6:30 p.m. at Two If By Sea.

Winter Wednesday - CRITICAL AREA TALK  Wednesday, March 7: The reasoning behind critical area rules and regulations. 6:30 p.m. in the Pub Room at Harrison's Chesapeake House.

Winter Wednesday - FLOATING WETLANDS PROGRAM  Wednesday, March 21: Floating wetlands, a new concept in which rafts of salt-tolerant grasses filter the Bay and help calm erosion-causing wave action. 6:30 p.m. at Two If By Sea..  

Sat. March 31  

Winter Wednesday (Actually Saturday!) - 75-TON CATCH PROGRAM  Saturday, March 31: Gary Crawford's presentation of his video, "The 75-Ton Catch," which tells the story of Tilghman watermen who, in one set of a haul seine in the 1950s, brought in 75 tons of fish. 6:30 p.m. in the Pub Room at Harrison's Chesapeake House.
