Phillips Wharf Environmental Center, Inc. (PWEC), a 501c3 on Tilghman’s Island, seeks to educate and create understanding and appreciation about the ecosystems of the Chesapeake Bay and the heritage and life of the Chesapeake Bay waterman. We foster stewardship of the Bay itself through hands-on educational experiences, special events, and research projects aimed at revealing the effects of natural and human forces upon the Chesapeake’s flora and fauna. |
